"How to Carry Stuff on Your Bike" - A workshop hosted by the TWIG community
How to Carry Stuff on Your Bike
This no-cost educational workshop is hosted by the Durham TWIG Bike Community and is open to all members of the TWIG community.
The Durham TWIG Bike Community (=trans, women, intersex, gender non-conforming) is a welcoming, inclusive, safe space for femme, trans, female, intersex, gender nonconforming and nonbinary people that exists to celebrate and promote bicycling, share biking skills, and grow the TWIG bicycling community in Durham through rides, shop/repair nights and other events.
We believe that bicycling can be a source of empowerment, autonomy, joy, health, friendship, and community. We respect the knowledge participants bring to the Durham TWIG Bike Community and recognize it as a space built by everyone who contributes to it. Our community is inclusive, and we together resist and seek to dismantle racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, ableism, and other oppressive systems. The TWIG Bike Community operates in partnership with the Durham Bike Co-op, an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit.
If you identify as part of this community, welcome!
